Funds Needed to Complete Study for Armory Preservation

We are just $6000 from the having the funds for a study on the restoration and renovation of the Armory. Will you contribute $10 or $25 toward this project?

One of the Horizon's Action Teams have taken on the project of raising the last $6,000 needed to move forward on a study of the costs of restoration, renovation and self-sustainability of the Villisca Armory. They will be doing a letter writing campaign which will include the help of some of the young people in the community, having a Sunday Dinner Fundraiser in March 2009.  A couple other fun and exciting activities are in the works. The goal is to get a realistic look at the costs and feasibility of keeping the Armory as a piece of Villisca history and moving forward as it becoming once again at the center of social, cultural and economic life in Villisca.
 
Contributions should be sent to Mary Hansen at the Villisca Historical Society, 113 West 5th Street, Villisca, IA 50864.  Contributions should be noted that they are for the Armory Project.
