In the Bicentennial year of our nation’s history, 1976, a new interest arose in historical events pertaining to early Villisca.   Some of the materials in this compilation were presented at the Villisca Public Library program about our heritage in April 1976, but as is often the case, there were many who did not avail themselves of this presentation.   Therefore, it has been my desire to preserve this historical and biographical data for the purpose of providing pleasure, as well as information, for the community and for future students and residents of this community, as well as for those who still call Villisca their home. | Next |
